About The Prince Edward Island Real Estate Association

The PEI Real Estate Association (PEIREA) is a Nonprofit Professional Association that works under the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) to provide services to its members and to promote the Real Estate Profession across Prince Edward Island. PEIREA staff work to provide Continuing Education, MLS® Services, professional resources, technology and more! The Association staff can also help members of the public with questions and concerns.

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors which consists of eleven REALTORS® and the Association’s Executive Officer. The PEIREA office is located at 3 Lower Malpeque Road, Unit L100 Charlottetown, PE C1E 1R4. For our complete contact information, please see our Contact Us page.

As a part of CREA, all of our REALTOR® members are also members in good standing with CREA. That means that our members are held to a higher standard and are mandated to abide by the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Practice. The REALTOR® Code of Ethics has been the measure of professionalism in organized Real Estate in Canada for over 40 years. The first code was approved in 1913 at the convention of the National Association of Real Estate Boards held in Winnipeg and has been amended throughout the years to reflect changes within the Real Estate industry. One aspect of the Code that has remained unchanged is the high standard of professional conduct it demands to protect the interests of clients and customers and safeguard the rights of consumers of real estate services.

REALTORS® are not only licensed to trade Real Estate in their jurisdiction, they are also withheld to additional Continuing Education and Professional Standards helping to protect all parties involved and ensure professionalism throughout the entire process.
